    Pros

Innovative products. Fantastic brand history and hertitage. Great outlook for the future. Possibility to move up intentionally (can take some time). Superb discount and benefits.

    Cons

Employees should be fired when they are clearly breaking the rules(way to many second chances). Not holding persons accountable from associates to store manager.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure that people are all paid the same starting price based on skill and assets they bring to the sales floor. Hold people accountable.

    So sad!!!

    Pros

Some of the products are fabulous. Great heritage brand. Beautiful stores. Decent benefits. Pretty amazing pay for management considering the volume of their stores. Huge potential because the history of the brand is so great:

    Cons

Communication is a huge opportunity for this organization. Whether it's the overall focus of the brand or when a manager "disappears" (they would just disappear off conference calls), employees feel more respected when properly communicated with.

Hiring - ugh. Wtf. They over-utilize recruitment firms and temp workers resulting in a less than committed work force. It's super easy to be promoted because they are clueless regarding hiring. If you are a warm body and are nice to the right people and there is an opening you will be promoted. Yay for you even if you suck.

Buying - the person who buys the apparel is so lacking in taste and direction. Apparel is really pushed (highly profitable for any brand) and is SO UGLY and so low quality it is ruining the brand.

Upper management - some really smart people work for this brand. But there must be no oversight because they make terrible decisions with seemingly no consequences. Like hiring under-qualified morons to run the business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start over. Everything you have done is messed up and the people you have on staff are wrong! The U.S. is a different market than Europe is so you can't just bring Swiss people in to run things (even if they're great). You need amazing talent at the top who understands the U.S., how to run a successful business and most importantly understands people.

    Pros

not many pros... Some good people, although many people are B/C level in their respective areas as this company puts forth no investment in its employees. Benefits package is good, although other companies offer competitive ones as well. Products are good...just be a customer and not an employee.

    Cons

Severe lack of investment in the morale and compensation of employees. Management likely put into role based on factors other than management background and training. They'll talk about a specific culture, what they are referring to is the lack of of organization, funding, leadership, and direction from the top down. This company is privately held and the parent is based in Switzerland where the morale and ethics are bound to be held to a high standard. The US arm becomes to feel as a indigent stepchild in juvi. Funding is extremely tight and if they can avoid spending they will. While the parent company will set the direction and has the funds it surely does not flow into the US arm.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire a reputable outside firm and do a top down review in its entirety. Of course this will fall upon deaf ears with the parent company. As long as the US arm sells and distributes product, it has served its purpose. At the cost of its employees. Oh don't forget to ask about the "volunteering" to "help" with their warehouse sales.

I have been working at Victorinox Swiss Army as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

They have a gym in the headquarter's building. Pretty flexible with having to leave early for dr's appointment and such.

    Cons

They hire temps all the time. They don't really promote from within. I have been working for almost a year as a tempt. and still have been moved to full-time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at the talent you have in house before looking elsewhere.

    Pros

Great brand to be part of. Great quality products.

    Cons

Poor leadership. Things are done in a certain way and you better just do it or leave it. No room for improvement, ownership of your projects. Very corporate culture - everything is micromanaged. Poor training and no advancement. Senior managers are the worst managers to work with - no motivation but rather makes you question yourself, lack of guidance and direction.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't promote people to managers just because they are good at what they do - they need to know how to manage people successfully

    Pros

This is a quality product to sell. If you have a strong store manager this can be a great experience.

    Cons

Company promotes only from outside the company leaving no room to grow. Poor communication and human resources management do not value there employees. This company claims values they do not actually demonstrate with there actions. There is no program in place to grow your staff and most programs that are in place are outdated and are not used properly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in your staff hold all levels of management responsible. And allow for growth oppurtunity to make your staff invest In the long term success of the buisness

    Pros

Great Products, Awsome Staff in store, Great Discount online

    Cons

no raises, little advancement, poor upper management with little to no expiriance, no communication, a company that has no idea about selling in AMERICA and needs to figure it our because they are trying to become reputable in AMERICA.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need to listen to your employees and stop treating them like dogs, start catering to AMERICA not SWISS standards, stop the politics.

    Cons

No room to grow. Pay is kept as low as possible. Raises are promised and put off indefinitely. Upper management seems to be hired without reasonable experience in their position.
