    Pros

    Good / decent pay. able to do a lot of overtime. laid-back atmosphere. able to learn a lot if in the right department. Most of the people are friendly. Get to meet awesome clients. Great benefits.

    Cons

    horrible parking situation. you WILL get talked too for having to move your car more than once a day in order to let a client or employee out of the lot. Everyone upstairs is on there toes, be glad you are not there. HR is extreamly unfriendly, except for a few. The Accounting department is a mess. micro-managing, unnecessary drama. You can't keep protecting a "manager" who messes up SEVERAL TIMES and has multiple complaints by 7+ employees for harassment & being belligerent towards them. Which HR does nothing about, instead retaliates and fires those employees. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING.

    fix HR and parking situation.

    If your related to the owners it could be great

    Pros

    Currently, I do not foresee anything that warrants a 'pro', other than the pay, which is decent.

    Cons

    Inappropriate use of language by management. Some employees will not do anything, and you will be forced to do their work in addition to your own. Very long hours and weekend shifts will be required.

    Pros

    Probably the only company in the world that can obtain/purchase gear at the last minute and turn it around for a rental within a 24 hr period

    Cons

    No structure or guidance from management at local or national level-policies change minute to minute and are never supported; even though we have paid benefits the benefits are not sufficient; nepotism for long-standing employees who would not last in any other real company

    Advice to Management

    You should invest in the great employees, not the bad employees

    Pros

    Guaranteed 40 hrs min/wk. 401K, Health benefits paid for (single), bonuses at Christmas time, Family owned so the ownership/management doesn't answer to a board of directors.

    Cons

    Favoritism towards certain long time employees who don't deserve the loyalty the company shows them and towards certain job positions. Industry driven so there can be very long hours when busy and conversely, there are boring days when the slow period hits. But you always get your 40 hrs min.

    Advice to Management

    Make more of an effort to get to know the employees that have been with the company 5 or more years for better feedback.

    Pros

    Probably the largest inventory in the country, many of the employees are very friendly. Casual dress requirement

    Cons

    Complete lack of structure and discipline, agents steal equipment from one another and management doesn't care. It seems that management decided that its the agents name and reputation that will be damaged when their order falls apart because their equipment was taken by another agent...clearly the employees reputation means nothing to the company...they will simply replace the agent. Sadly ownership has no idea how to properly plan, structure, or handle any situation that is beyond threatening vendors, promising employees whatever it takes with no intention of following through.

    Advice to Management

    no point...management doesn't listen to anyone...they own it, so THEY must know whats best...right? Go work for somebody at least once in your life, it will show you what managing actually means.

    Pros

    Excellent career oppertunities, great learing possibilities. Branch manager encourages growth and career oppertunities outside of Orlando office. Not just a place to have a good job, but a good place to have a career. Those willing to work will be rewarded.

    Cons

    Long hours, not good communication of company vision from Main office. Information is very slow to reach those working for the company that do not live in Glendale.

    Advice to Management

    In our office, senior management is solid, knowledgable and supportive. Good working enviroment, good salary and benefits. I would suggest a good house cleaning, as most employees are nowhere as good as they think they are. They dont' seem to appreciate how good they have it at VER.

    Pros

    If you plan on working in audio/video, LED, or broadcast, VER is a great place to start. There are a bunch of guys who have tons of experience that are very valuable resources to learn from. The scheduling is very flexible and their benefits package is awesome - they pay 100% of your family's health insurance premium!!

    Cons

    There is just not enough room for advancement unless you are willing to relocate. Many of the people have been working there for years and vertical position movement is rare. They just expect you to go above and beyond and do not give the recognition you deserve when you do.

    Advice to Management

    People need to be held accountable for their actions that cost the company money. There are too many people that focus more on their own agenda's than what is best for the company. The people who are really trying to make/save the company money do not get the recognition they deserve. There are too many managers that don't take enough of an active role in the day to day operations and focus mainly on sales instead of the functionality of each office.
