I have been working at Virginia State University full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

It's a very laid back environment. As long as you do your job, no one is really on your back about much.

    Cons

Whatever job you come into with the company (Administrative Assistant for example); no one recognizes that you may have other skills or degrees. Unfortunately, you become type cast as that being your only asset.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give people a chance to show you what they can do or are skilled in. Sometimes, you have to take a "lower" job to get your foot door.
