Worked a summer internship. Supervisor was a great mentor and involved me in many meetings and projects so I was able to learn a lot about the company and the industry.

    Cons

No cons I can think of, other than there were limited opportunities for full-time employment once.

    Pros

    Above minimum
    Extra Hours
    Helping Patients
    Health Benefits for Full-Time Workers
    Food allowance

    Cons

    Little to no days off
They will schedule you for work even though it clearly interferes with your family and prior obligations
The above has happened to many workers even though they tell them their availability
You work overtime constantly and do favors by taking extra shifts and are still not respected and treated like just another number
Even if your health or family is at stake they will still make you work and if you don't or cant get coverage which you rarely do since everyone is working 7 days a week
    Severely understaffed because of management

    Advice to Management

Stop scheduling people for days and times that people already told you they cant work. Its not the employees fault that you're severely understaffed. Try to be more understanding of personal circumstances as employees have a life outside of work. If an employee works for almost 3 months with little to no break. Constantly coming in early and staying behind and going above and beyond...yes,,,give them an award or recognition...yes...even if their new. Give your employees recognition. Management needs to take another class in business and management. Many employees have one foot out the door because of management or lack thereof. Theres great potential in the current staff just needs the right management. If you're THAT understaffed help out. Don't double up workload on workers. You will be better respected from coming down from the tower.

    Pros

This particular position was a permanent part-time with wonderful hours. Awesome health benefits.

    Cons

Upper management in this particular department were horrible. Very unprofessional. Medical staff were not what I would seek out if I were a patient. I would hope that not all floors are managed this this.
