    Pros

Visa is committed to each intern's career development and does a great job of making sure we develop the skills we want to develop and learn as much about the company as we can.

    Cons

They are a large, established company, so you have to sometimes deal with inevitable red tape and processes that don't really make sense.

    Advice to Management

It was great to learn so much about the company and to feel like the company was investing in us. I wish I knew more about the opportunities before interviewing for my internship.

    Pros

Every company has their problems - Visa is no different. Is it the same company it was a few years ago - NO. It is still better than most. > I feel I've always been fairly compensated > I've been fortunate to be in a group with a good management structure > I enjoy the people I work with

    Cons

Given how many people are unemployed it is hard to complain about being employed, particularly by a company like Visa. I am however disappointed in the reduction of the thrift plan match and the way that health insurance premiums go up while what's included in the health benefits decreases. In addition, the lack of any real telecommuting policy that all managers are directed to follow. In times where gas is over $3/gal and bridge tolls are running $5/day, one would think we'd take our "green" efforts to include some telecommuting options.

    Advice to Management

Focus as much on developing your middle managers as you do in the new graduations and intern programs.
