I have been working at Visa Inc. full-time

    Pros

They have a lot of growth opportunities within the company. I would also say that they raise you 5% of your salary every year depending on your role. Now, based on how you perform you can expect a higher percentage based on your contributions to the company, ex. training team members on a new trade, years with the company, they give you company stock, which by the way is at $215 a share which is nice ect. So what I'm trying to say is that's it's a company you won't find easily in South Florida.

    Cons

I would say the cons are higher ups higher managers with absolutely no intelligence once so ever. But hey that's in every company right.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would say my advice to management is to learn some common sense.

I worked at Visa Inc. as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

The professionalism, procedures and structure of Visa is unsurpassed. This is the most intelligent and focused group I've ever worked with. I enjoyed the 'formal' atmosphere and the dedication to meeting deadlines.

    Cons

This is a double-edged sword - While the projects have assertive delivery dates; there is also not much room or time to make personal connections. This is truly WORK and not play. One has to understand and be comfortable with the formality and executive feel of this company to be happy working here. If you're looking for a layed-back environment; this is not the company to work for.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is some redundancy to the procedures (marketing campaign department) - does everything need to be triple checked? If so, this seems like a waste of money and resources. Review procedures with employees and be clear on expectations.

    Pros

Solid Sr. Management that empower people to do their work and recognize them for achievement. Tolerance for making mistakes and learning with it. Competitive compensation and benefits package. Lots of opportunities to grow.

    Cons

In constant transformation which requires high level of adaptability from employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep pushing to get everyone focused on the bigger opportunities. Visa is a great place to work today and is on the right track to be even better in the future.

I have been working at Visa Inc. as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

I'm a summer intern here. I see the value of my work. Helping merchants and consumers with our state-of-the-art payment technology. People here are very friendly and supportive, and give you a lot of responsibility.

    Cons

Interesting org structure and internal procedures. Need to get a lot of internal approvals before moving on to the next step of the project.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to promote internally, instead of hiring external talents
