I wish I never had to leave

Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee) Pittsburgh, PA

    ProsGood pay and bonus structure.
Great benefits and perks(free lunch fridays, discounted gym, and free yoga).
    Amazing people.
    Great location.

One of the best companies to work for. I had a great boss---I could question/critique any decision of his. My team was a rare combination of very smart AND nice people. Everyone else(outside my team) also were nice and capable people. I got considerable project responsibilities only three-months into my job, and was give a lot of freedom in how I do my job. I'd definitely recommend Vivisimo as a workplace.

ConsLearning curve of the product was HUGE when I came in.
It was difficult to find product-related information(I did not know where to look/who to ask).
Had to work with XSLT and some legacy products.

Advice to Senior ManagementThis is to all management, and not just to Reston:
Continue what you are doing with the new product effort.
    Communication is always good.

    Focused

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Reston, VA

ProsThe company is transitioning from enterprise search to Information Optimization. Although not an easy challenge it has been doing a great job of iterating through this transition.

ConsWith the company's new strategy there is substantial change. It is being worked through in a reasonable manner, but change can always be difficult for some to accept.

Advice to Senior ManagementIncrease the amount of communication to the team. During times of change you can never over communicate.
