    Pros

Benefits: smartphone device, mobile cellular line, discounted broadband

    Cons

Lots of overtime and bad management, have unexperienced people coming from other companies taking positions that should be filled by more experienced people that know and understand the area and company.

    Advice to Management

Stop bringing friends from other companies just to promote them and start paying attention in people who worked hard years in the area to keep the company functioning

Familiar company, not very objective, a lot of emotional aspects to be taken in consideration

    Advice to Management

company needs a long time planning since it is very difficult for emplyees to access the future of the company.

    Pros

I don't have any pros for this company. Unless you don't have any other option, maybe working there for a few months so you won't starve is something, but in a few months you'll probably prefer to be unemployed and struggling than in this place.

    Cons

Salary is average, benefits are average, work/life balance is non-existent, overall, it's a woeful working experience.

    Advice to Management

To change it, it will be need to shape things from top till down, don't see it happening soon.

    Pros

As the leading company in the market, it has a lot of resources to invest in marketing and in technology, so it's a great place to learn from. There you'll work with different iniatives and tools, such as vast market research, strong BI and diverse media plans.

    Cons

Since the company was bought by Telefonica, the corporate culture has been changing and the company is less autonomous. Many decisions depend on global alignment which takes time and not necessarily is the best for the local market.

  9. Great company

I worked at Vivo (Brazil) full-time

    Pros

You get to learn a lot. There are lots of opportunities for those who work pro-actively. Internal movements is also common. Salary is comparable to industry rates, hence smaller than other industries. Promotions happen, especially in new areas.

    Cons

Culture is very "corporate". Lots of processes and some bureaucracy. Beware if you don't tolerate that. Cafeteria is not great. It has never been. If you are a 9-6 type of employee, don't expect to be promoted quickly.

    Advice to Management

The industry is mature - work hard on providing great customer service. Focus on customer and keep doing what you are doing.

    Pros

Good benefits Opportunity to chnage to other departments Good life / work balance

    Cons

Negative outlook in the long run limits career progress Political relationships, more than meritocracy, define career progress. There is no career plan Salaries below average Increasing Spanish interference reduces Brazilian autonomy

    Advice to Management

Meritocracy and a career plan would improve the company's response to the increasing challenges that the telecom sector is facing.
