    Pros

Cool Campus. Great PR tool and horrible Marketing tool

    Cons

This is not the time to join. They are merging with their #1 competitor.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The software doesn't work for every industry so find it's market and grow from there.

Definitely needs an outside sales team.

I have been working at Vocus full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Headquarters are awesome- bootcamp, yoga, delicious coffee, young atmosphere.

So much room for opportunity. The digital marketing industry has seen significant change the past couple year. With that, a company has to change as well. If you can't adapt to change and go with the flow, Vocus isn't the place for you. If you aren't afraid of working hard, going the extra mile, and staying positive, then you will love it here!

    Cons

The office is open on Christmas Eve.

    Pros

The amenities........ That's it....really it is

    Cons

I can't believe they're rolling even more people out of there. It seems as though every month a former colleague is reaching out for work. What is going on.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I hope you know what you're doing. AT least for the sake of those left standing.

I have been working at Vocus full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Vocus revolves around the "work hard, play hard" saying. If you come in, work hard and are successful, they reward you gratefully. Whether its trips, cash, sporting events, etc. It makes work fun and always gives you motivation to do better.

    Cons

The company is growing quickly so going through a lot of growing pains. There are a lot of changes which are sometimes hard to keep up with and adapt to. Although, all of the changes being made are leading us in a positive direction in the long run.

I worked at Vocus full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The actual office has many perks and has a cool tech office vibe. Free coffee and soda. Nice perks for top salespeople

    Cons

This place is a meat grinder. Success means cranking out call after call, which would be fine if the compensation was better. Leads were near non existent. Management changes their minds every 3-4 months on pricing and strategy

This is very much a sink or swim company. Not for people who won't put in the work

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote your best people faster. There is little incentive for people to stay otherwise

I have been working at Vocus full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

They restructured the comp for SBE and MMSE Sales... much more compelling than before
Change in leadership- the environment feels much more team focused... our executives make a point of congratulating us and knowing our names!
Product is awesome- its fun to sell- and not very technical
Free Candy and Drinks- Food trucks come to MD-- not Herndon...
Quotas are not unrealistic if you do work

    Cons

No food trucks at the Herndon Office
We definitely went through some growing pains and alot of things changed quickly but it seems like it was all for the better
I would love the ability to bring my dog to work!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sales reps like to be recognized, continue to come to the Herndon office so we can see more leadership!
