Opportunities available if you're prepared to do the legwork and are self driven.

Development Specialist (Current Employee) Newbury, England (UK)

ProsA lot of support is available from your team/line manager and there is a vast array of self assessment and learning tools available if you're interested in a particular area.

ConsIt can be difficult to get everyone in a room required to make a decision as it is such a fractal environment with dedicated teams and it can be difficult to know who to talk to.

Advice to Senior ManagementStrip out some of the politics and do more to promote better team work within wider teams but more importantly across different departments that have a heavy reliance on one another.

    Over-administrated, overblown technical dinosaur.

Network Engineer (Current Employee) London, England (UK)

ProsGood brand name, fortunately the outside world doesn't know how poorly this company is run.

ConsNo training, company is too disjointed. Culture of passing the buck. Too many people playing big brother & muddying the waters rather than helping to clarify them. Management are useless & constantly misinterpret the "Vodafone Way" to administer their dictatorial methods. Company ethos is ignored constantly to find the quickest/cheapest fix. For a technology company they really struggle to grasp the concept of simplicity & use antiquated technologies. The administrative side of the company especially HR & IT support are woefully inept.

Advice to Senior ManagementYour ideas are not always the best ones. Don't change everything constantly just for the sake of it. Stand up for your employees.
