    Pros

Excellent culture. Managers are expected to help and enable their teams. Vibrant environment that rewards success and hard work. On-boarding is helpful.

    Cons

Work-life balance is less than ideal. The contest of answering 200 emails per day is overrated as opposed to focusing on strategic work.

    Advice to Management

Make sure the employees have good work-life balance.

    Pros

Great team to work with, lovely campus.

    Cons

No on-site parking for contractors, necessitating a shuttle bus ride between the off-site parking and the campus lasting anywhere from 15 to 35 minutes depending on traffic. No overnight lockable storage for equipment like laptops etc., so whatever you need for work you must carry with you in and out every day.

    Advice to Management

Sort out on-site parking and provide overnight lockers/storage for contractors' equipment.

    Pros

My immediate colleagues were a really good bunch whose talents are completely wasted there. It has a free bus from town, perhaps? As a contractor the money is OK, but once you've factored in commuting costs & time, then it's not that great (sure it would be excellent if you lived close to Newbury though). I'm struggling to think of anything else positive to say.

    Cons

Ancient hardware that really isn't fit for purpose, especially if you're expected to do anything other than use Microsoft Office. This is a serious problem considering I was in a development role and needed to run various applications to allow me to do my job. Productivity is low, morale is low, frustration is high. Arcane internal software systems that don't conform to any known standards or conventions. Don't expect to gain any transferable skills in a role here, as everything is completely "unique" (not in a good way). Weak management are very aware of the day-to-day problems here, although nothing seems to be done about it. As a contractor, no one really takes an interest in what you are doing or whether you are "getting on alright" - you'd think someone might like to know if they're getting their money's worth. Very little is communicated to you, no one shows you round, no one helps you out (immediate colleagues do their best, but they have their own work to do). Despite having a supposedly marvelous "campus-style" office complex with super-hip, hot-desking, it's actually a massive bind and unexpectedly soulless. There is no parking on-site for contractors so you are beholden to the free buses (except on Friday, but no one told me that until I'd been there for three weeks). There is nothing nearby so you're actually quite isolated. The hot-desk system is an appalling system requiring you to put your stuff away at the end of every day - you'd also be lucky to get somewhere secure to store it as there are no lockers available. Working here is very uncomfortable without a properly set-up desk - expect to get a stiff neck after a day or two.

    Advice to Management

Rectify all of the above, and your churn rate will drop significantly.
