I have been working at Vodafone full-time

    Pros

Large global conglomerate with a reputation of being an average provider

    Cons

Take your pick, but most of all the inability to get out of it's own way. Not SOX compliant, and refuses to change inept methods to adapt and improve it's delivery methods

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just cause you've been doing something a long time doesn't mean it's the right way. You have embedded poison among your ranks

    I worked at Vodafone

    Pros

There is diversity within Vodafone and there is the chance to get to laterally connect with many different departments and countries.

    Cons

There are problems with being heard or respected at Vodafone. There are clicks in upper management like old boys club. It can be frustrating.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change the portals for communication. It's widely accepted to not say anything for fear of repercussion or backlash.

I have been working at Vodafone

    Pros

    Global brand, financial stability, network

    Cons

US team is not well led. Priorities and support are poor.

They lack clear goals and products and services that work in all countries.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Deliver what you say you will. Get in the field with customers.

They talk a good game but can't deliver or have knowledge how to run a sales team.

I have been working at Vodafone

    Pros

World leader - broad international focus. Top in its field

    Cons

Internal competition and siloed data on key projects. Strategy vacillates

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to improve process execution and consolidate disparate systems. Work more on developing camaraderie across disparate (and distributed) teams.

I worked at Vodafone as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Entry level for Dutch speakers to start in Dublin. The company tries to make the switch of country as smooth as possible. There is engagement with the employees.

    Cons

Long term development is difficult due to the high focus on hitting sales numbers. As Teletech is a vendor for other companies, it's hard to grow internally as well, since you are stuck with working for a certain client. Short term however, it's great to work there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not much really, since it's focus is on hitting sales numbers, there is not that much which you can change at the moment. The work at least wasn't too hard and work pressure is fine.

    Cons

The desire to attract the best talent is not matched with the best rewards.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

In many cases you already have some of the best talent, you need to provide clear direction to be able to get the best out of them.

    I worked at Vodafone

    Pros

Vodafone is a great company and allows employees to move between different departments and learn new skills. It is a company that treats its employees very well and cares about life and work balance.

    Cons

Not very international, each country tends to be a completely different and isolated company and there is very little exchange of information.

It is difficult to get promoted, very flat organization and sometimes the only possible move is a lateral one o other department.

    Pros

Great Office Culture, Friendly Multicultural Environment, Work-Life Balance absolutely positive, Many opportunities and projects, Good performance review.

    Cons

Low compensation, Job titles not corresponding to real duties, Low job security feeling always at risk of redundancy depending on executive decisions on specific projects.
