I have been working at Vodafone

    Pros

Good people, mature approach to flexible working, decent pay, great benefits, lots of opportunies to grow and learn. The Newbury HQ campus is very nice, with a large on-site canteen and a decent gym.

    Cons

Too many managers and a lot of politics which sometimes make it hard to get things done. The hot-desk approach means to have to either lug everything around with you or fight to get a locker which may be miles from where you need to sit. It also means the office looks very empty (no plants, pictures up etc) and that everyone develops neck pains from slouching over a laptop. The room-booking system at Newbury HQ is terrible and drives everyone nuts and poor conferencing facilities make working from home difficult. It's still tricky to get to the campus by public transport although Vodafone are trying to organise more shuttles and parking is oversubscribed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trust your managers more. Improve transport to Newbury HQ. Get rid of the Cosy room-booking system!
