    Pros

Good people, mature approach to flexible working, decent pay, great benefits, lots of opportunies to grow and learn. The Newbury HQ campus is very nice, with a large on-site canteen and a decent gym.

    Cons

Too many managers and a lot of politics which sometimes make it hard to get things done. The hot-desk approach means to have to either lug everything around with you or fight to get a locker which may be miles from where you need to sit. It also means the office looks very empty (no plants, pictures up etc) and that everyone develops neck pains from slouching over a laptop. The room-booking system at Newbury HQ is terrible and drives everyone nuts and poor conferencing facilities make working from home difficult. It's still tricky to get to the campus by public transport although Vodafone are trying to organise more shuttles and parking is oversubscribed.

    Advice to Management

Trust your managers more. Improve transport to Newbury HQ. Get rid of the Cosy room-booking system!

    Pros

Open environment that enables you to speak about your opinions, flexible working time, fast paced - there is always an interesting project going on

    Cons

There is a complex structure, sometimes difficult to know who has the decision, conflicting priorities that might lead to workload

    Advice to Management

Better clarity on team purpose and priorities

    Pros

They pay well and they always back their staff to the hilt. It's an ambitious company, despite achieving all that it has already, and there is plenty of opportunity to grow.

    Cons

The same as any retail job, rude and annoying customers. Also, the payslips are very hard to make sense of, so there is sometimes a feeling that you're being underpaid, but because they don't make sense, it's really hard to prove it.

    Advice to Management

Sometimes, come on to the shop floor and see how your team performs. Sell with the team instead of barking orders and hiding behind 'mountains of paperwork'

Nice environment, very international, free space, you can work where ever you want, nice facilities, great area.

    Cons

People in the company, they tend to be nicer to the management, i know it is normal but it is extreme in that case, they totally ignore workers below them in the hierarchy, when i was new at Vodafone- nobody taught me anything i had to figure out everything by myself and get criticised for it!

    Advice to Management

to be nicer to workers, and help them with their tasks and questions.
