    Pros

Best work culture. Very healthy work environment.

    Cons

Sometimes weak in decision. So many ladders to approve the simple documents.

    Pros

Working conditions are good, but people are complaining so much about having to work through the shutdown. People, why are you there? A paycheck right? STOP COMPLAINING! If you don't want to work, move it aside and let a person that would be happy he or she is getting more hours.

    Cons

Hired in as a paint booth cleaner. So far I've done nothing close to that. Part time, new hires are left in the dark about full time opportunities. A lot of backstabbing. Which I expected, but not on a level like this. Team leaders and Union reps seem not to care about their responsibilities, only care about themselves.

    Advice to Management

If the turnaround is so high as its claimed, there are a few things that may stop it or at least slow it down. 1. Hire good employees that you know will do a good job. Stop promoting people to supervisory positions just because a relative working for Ford's that got them their job. Some of those people feel "special" in a way that makes them feel superior over other employees. That needs to stop and give other perhaps more deserving and qualified people those opportunities. Give the part time people the opportunity as everyone else. Its not a good feeling not knowing if your going to have a job after the shift cut and shut down. I do not understand why management just hired over 20 people in the last month if lay offs are going to take place. This makes zero sense.
Most of the people are very pleasant, but you should do something about the employees that have a history of causing problems and especially drama. There are some workers that get favored and do no work at all. This is a no no in any workplace environment and the complaining is out of control.
Go and look through your employees resumes, file, and you will most certainly get a better grasp and understanding who would excel for the betterment of the company.

    Pros

pay was ok, before all the dues. and insurance. lots of over time because of mistakes. They don't have time to do it right but have time to do it over.

    Cons

Bosses came off the floor so they don't know how to run things. Stupid decisions on a daily bases. Union? Joke! all they do is collect dues. Look up AIM. See how they represent their people. The old union president is now working for the company agents the union. Buddy, Buddies! Health Insurance! Try over a $100 a week and $8000 copay to start. No training just less pay for your training period. There is so much more. Now at a non-union shop making the same things, loving life! look them up! Unions Suck!

    Advice to Management

Wake up! the people on the floor make a factory. Not the people in the office. 3 to 1 ratio.

    Pros

Industrial Services is full of great people both at corporate and at our sites. The Cincinnati office genuinely cares about the people at the sites.

    Cons

The industrial service market is being commoditized which causes tension in carrying adequate numbers of administrative support including: planners, leaders and engineers.
One of the biggest work life balance con is quantity of travel.

    Advice to Management

Watch the ratio of team leader to team member and the group leader to team member. When the ratio is too lean it effects the service delivery. Also add the schedule planner and engineer role early in the site launch.

    Pros

Excellent overtime opportunities, and travel potential.

    Cons

Salaried for 40 hour weeks and grow with plant production up to 60-80 weeks. Plant management is based on there cost to income, which leads to severe under-staffing, this causes multiple injuries and employee dis-contempt.

    Advice to Management

Hire the right number of associates and stop cutting corners to save a few dollars, your employees depend on it. If everyone is present, everyone's jobs are easier.

    Pros

FORMER Operation Manager great to work with.

    Cons

Middle Management team fickle with island mentalities no sense of team concepts just personal agendas. Employees have a "us" against "them" mentality and resisted to change positive or even necessary for growth. Overall opinion is from Senior Management down leadership their style is antiquated so 21st century absolutely no forms of communication to anyone until its done and there is no follow thru when they say they are going to do something. No sense of teamwork and then you are tasked with more jobs than is humanly possible to be efficient at. They claim safety first but they have been through 5 safety guys and the current has been with us for 2 years and they still haven't hired him after assuring him they would. Unless you are the person who likes an aggressive, hostile, looking over your should atmosphere than Voith is the company for you. My only wish is that I heard of glassdoor earlier so I could have spared myself the grief and hardship I have endured.

    Advice to Management

START OVER, YOUR DOING IT WRONG.

Learn from real world class companies, invest in your people, put the right people in place and do everything you can to keep the good ones and cut out the fat.

    Pros

Good pay, some good people who care to help

    Cons

Inadequate training, long hours, no feedback from supervisors if you are doing good or bad. They set you up constantly for failure, which leads to their failure. Last but not least backstabbing co-workers, they have their little "cliq" if you are an outsider you are just screwed.

    Advice to Management

    Keep digging your grave.
