I have been working at Volkert & Associates

    Pros

Great environment, job security and friendly people to work with, employe stock

    Cons

Not that much raise, not that much room to grow, fast passed work in environment

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to work on adjusting employees salary based on what they pay for new comers compare to current employees

I worked at Volkert & Associates full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Pay is at market value, plus supposedly decent annual raises (no bonuses companywide). Paid overtime.

    Cons

Long hours encouraged; typical 50-60 hour weeks. Encouraged to work on holidays. Draconian IT department. Employees required to travel frequently, and encouraged to work out of state and relocate. High turnover, particularly for engineer interns and entry-level.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in long-term employees at the intern level, rather than hiring for specific projects.

I worked at Volkert & Associates

    Pros

Decent pay and work schedule. They gave you a job to perform and allowed you to do your work without Micromanaging.

    Cons

Senior Management is a joke. You never even spoke to the people who you worked for. Company was constantly in litigation for their work. They are very set in their ways and did not keep up with industry trends.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This company needs to be more forward thinking. They have an extremely old Senior Management Team who is completely out of sync with their workers.

I have been working at Volkert & Associates

    Pros

Leadership engaged and supportive, great projects, competitive pay, honest and fair, projects are very high profile, not a sweatshop, business oriented

    Cons

A little old school, technology is somewhat dated, a bigger firm that operates like a smaller firm sometimes, training limited

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay the course and make sure that you don't lose the personal touch that comes with size and economy thanks
