Pros
Good benefits package (401K, health, vacation) nice work environment (offices), Large corporation with diverse offerings and locations, international & well established.
Cons
Lack of communication from corporate management, the corporation is top heavy with too many executives, lack of direction for its corporate divisions.
Advice to Senior Management
The management should look closer at its different divisions for cross training and hiring. The general lack of communication about the state of the company leaves open the door to speculation about the stability and health of the company overall.

- Benefits can take up to two months to kick in (based on when you were hired).
- Hope you like unemployment insurance.
Advice to Senior Management
- Find work for employees after they leave their main assignments.
Pros
quick to find contract positions
quick to hire - very little paperwork
friendly, eventually helpful
little interaction with volt recruiters or reps (no micro-managing)
Cons
Horrible Benefits - not worth signing up
Pay is way below average - experience is not acknowledged - start at the bottom
Not sure if there is any opportunity to move up
No vacation
Wish I would have stayed with Aerotek - they just didn't have any openings at the time.
Really like the job I'm doing now - but will be looking for something with better pay and benefits
Advice to Senior Management
You really need to be competitive - this my first experience with Volt and will probably be my last. You've obviously been doing something right to be in business this long - but at whos expense? It would be nice if you showed the same respect for your contract employees as other agencies have managed to do.
Pros
Job experience
Okay paycheck
Fill in job gaps
Get more hours in seasonal peak time
Cons
Poor hourly rate
Agency takes a cut out of your check
Pays less than unemployment
Health benefits is worthless
Temporary work isn't guarantee
Hours sometimes be less
Advice to Senior Management
Appreciate employees better and pay employees better or they will quit on you.
Pros
Good company if you don't have any other options.
Cons
They don't care of you!
Advice to Senior Management
Check with your employees and see their concerns.
Pros
Volt is a good place to work if you don't like micromanagement. They trust that you are a professional who will do what is expected. Provides good training tools and knowledge sharing.
Cons
Benefits are kind of on the weak side compared to other similar companies. Also commission for recruiter is on the low end compared to what the market pays out.
Advice to Senior Management
provide a review for pay raise annually.
