    I worked at Volt Information

    Pros

These guys will get you work quickly

    Cons

    Don't pay on time
Promise to pay but don't give correct checks
They blame payroll which happens to be in Orange, CA but if you ever get a chance to speak to payroll they will just blame the office. Lots of pointing fingers and no one takes responsibility.
Bad client service. You would think that when a client has a problem, your recruiter will help you out but the recruiter will just ignore you so you have to find someone else to speak to.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take some responsibility for your mistakes instead of pointing fingers
Work for your clients instead of finding ways not to pay them
Teach your recruiters some customer services skills

I have been working at Volt Information full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Volt is a staffing company. They helped me get an assignment at Apple Inc. where I was trained how to become a customer support representative. As a Volt contractor you will be offered a bank account with Amplify which is a great credit union. After your assignment ends, you can then contact your recruiter to find another assignment. You are paid every week which is very convenient. Another benefit is that you are paid for holidays if you meet the hourly requirements.

    Cons

Your assignment may end after a year. My assignment ended after one year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please set up direct deposit quicker. Also your employee website is very outdated, slow, buggy, and a headache to navigate through. We would appreciate an easy to navigate employee site. On the other hand, the IQ Navigator website is great and easy to use.

I worked at Volt Information full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great feeling to place candidates in jobs and commissions were good too!

    Cons

They had a tendency to hire branch managers and regional managers who had no clue about the industry, and did nothing but micro manage, making a stressful work environment.

I have been working at Volt Information full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Sadly the only pro to working here is learning how NOT to treat employees in your future roles. It was not always this way, but the last 3 years have seen dramamtic changes.

    Cons

Leadership is unable to clearly communicate strategy, future goals or how they intend to recover from years of loss (financially). Headcount reductions are the tactic, but a true, non-contracdictory business strategy has not been shared.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a moment to put yourself in the position of your employees and not just view the world through financial glasses. There is more to business than money and risk, without the right people and and executable strategy success and improvement are unattainable.

    Pros

    Good for a starter job

    Cons

    Low Pay
    No room for promotion/growth

    Pros

At the time we had a good internal team.

    Cons

Not good pay. Again, management wasn't solid at the top levels.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do some real work and listen to your employees who are in the trenches doing the work.
