Former Employee – worked at Volterra Semiconductor full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Good place to work with. People are knowledgeable. Free soda, coffee and tea. Good Peet's coffee. Good lab support for engineers. Lab are run by experience lab manager.
Cons – Low range salary compare to industry. Inner circle biased upper management. Niche market. Low chance to have career growth. High risk on single product technology.

Pros – Engineers are well educated, younger and focused on their niche area of work. Company have competitive technology in semiconductor process which allow for integration of power semi with logic level design. Being small not too many layers of management.
Cons – Relartively small company, sometimes limited chance for career growth, limited range of product types.
Advice to Senior Management – None
