I have been working at Volterra Semiconductor full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Because this company is small, you're able to make good contributions and the executive staff noticed that. Their benefits is pretty good and they have sabbatical after 10 years of working. Also, their hours are flexible. As long you finish your work and you could actually work from home.

    Cons

Because of the small size, a lot of employees have to wear several hats. Also this company is being bought by a fortune 1000 large company. A lot of employees could be lay off.

    Advice to Management

    Take care of the employees!

    Pros

Stress technical performance with almost no political. Most management are hand-on persons; Super product flow to guarantee chip quality

    Cons

Product lines are not broad enough; Number of customers are limited; Often product sales depend on just a few, and if missing one customer's one generation of machine, it could result in consequence.

    Advice to Management

Apply the technology to broad product lines.
