I have been working at WEST full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Consistent hours, fair pay, great benefits, very thorough training...I have experienced a great level of care and concern from my trainer in my one week of training at West. I feel that we have each been given endless opportunities to ask questions, brainstorm, role play and study the material that we are eventually tested on. There is a vast amount of information to learn in just 7 weeks of training, so it is important to pay attention and take notes, as well as study those notes at home each night.

    Cons

A bit like a high school environment, which can be difficult...I have found disgusting notes on the floor and it can be hard to hear the trainer, at times, above all of the side comments and laughing. The "cool kids" in our training class are constantly making fun of the smarter, somewhat "geeky" people, and the guys mainly sit around talking about who can sleep with which girl first. So, like I said, high school...you have to choose to be above all of this and simply show up with the intention of learning as much as you can before you are put on the production floor.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give tests to new employees in order to place them into specific training groups according to level of skill.

    Pros

Everyone within the West Community is welcoming, the food is catered on a daily basis, and the location is beautiful.

    Cons

If you are on the younger side such as myself being 22 you will be the youngest to work within the company by nearly 10 years or so.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think they did an excellent job in terms of managing me, no advice needed from me.

I worked at WEST full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Easy money, high rate of pay for minimal amount of work. Ample voluntary overtime. Hard to get fired.

    Cons

Get treated poorly by management. Mandatory shift holds. You sit all day take 40 to a hundfed calls a day depending on your shift.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees better and you will get people who are willing to bend over backwards. And stop firing the people who are already willing to do so. And lead from the front not the rear with a stick.

I have been working at WEST full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

You generally are given the ability to self manage if you actually do your work.

    Cons

Employees are overworked and too stressed. Company doesn't stand up for their employees to the client. You don't have the resources to do your job because the client understaffs. Tears happen here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your employees more-- there is way too much stress with way too little pay.
