    Pros

You can take "downtime" if needed to decrease your hours and add overtime almost anytime you please.

    Cons

During training West tells you how easy it is to move up within the company. You don't. West literally sucks the soul out of you.

    Advice to Management

Recognize the talent you have and treat your employees as though they are valuable to your company. Wish working at West was a better, more "in depth" experience.

    Pros

It was a paycheck and my trainer was really cool

    Cons

The most unprofessional, ghetto/trailer park type co-workers you will find, low-pay, a micro-managed atmosphere, ignorant managers, high-stress environment, you will lose I.Q. points just walking through the door.

I didn't make it out of training, because like the majority of the people in the training class, we were actively looking for a real job. The trainer was awesome and effective at his job. He deserved way better than working at West. The reps and even the floor leaders working there were pathetic. You have never met such ignorant, low-class people until you go to work at West. I don't tell people I ever worked there, it would be embarrassing. Pay was only $10 an hour and the HR Rep warned me the turnover rate was over 200%, while wondering aloud why West would have put a call-center in a town where most people can't speak proper English.

    Advice to Management

Offer better pay to attract a higher-caliber of employee! Be more selective of who you promote. Failing that, just close!

    Pros

Schedule (M-F), PTO 21 Days, Coaching sessions and talking to members with a wide variety of backgrounds.

    Cons

Poor management, almost daily changes to job expectations, performance review is based off 2% of all your calls and unless you are a robot or machine the chances of you hitting all your performance based monthly bonuses is near impossible.
They will never take into account all the good things you do with your job when it comes to punishing you and eventually firing you since they know you will be replaced by the next new class of people. So if you are slightly off in your verbiage you will be at risk for what they call a pin and if you receive 4 pins you are fired.
The most challenging part of the job is having the same conversation over and over again. There is no script so they want you to change it up but it's still the same concepts that get old very quickly.

    Advice to Management

Take into account the whole body of work when considering making a life altering choice to fire someone versus basing your decision off limited data. Make sure your message is clear and concise with consistency and not changing every other day. Provide employees with additional job responsibilities so they can take a break from the monotonous calls or cross train into other departments so you have a variety and don't get burned out.

    Pros

There are no perks of working here.

    Cons

This place is a joke. The corporation runs on a "fake it till you make it" policy that came straight from the director's mouth. You will be told seven different ways to do something by seven different employees. No one is on the same page. Managers are disrespectful and uncaring. You will only be promoted if someone likes you and that "promotion" will not include a pay raise. The building is full of reps who get away with treating customers like crap and others who try to fix their mistakes. Don't even bother joining this circus.

    Advice to Management

Start from scratch. Hire some employees who care about doing their jobs well and treat others with respect. You can't run a successful business with a "fake it till you make it" mentality.

    Pros

I've been employed here for over 3 years... first two years strong

    Cons

Now everything's fell off.. no hours, no clients, low pay or benefits to afford led to unemployment! SAD but with God's grace i made it and landed another job full time.. I prefer West though so hopefully more full time at home positions will be come available with job security... OMG the HSN is the worst pay with high demand... DISAPPOINTING

    Advice to Management

Keep training flexible as more can train around current schedules ☺Look into full time positions with benefits both full and part time for those that can work either with employee perks and better pay than just settling. Maybe the new transition will bring about positive changes for all employees instead of accepting crumbs...
