Start-up company with a lot growth potential

Store Manager (Former Employee) Mississauga, ON (Canada)

ProsWind Mobile was a fantastic start up company and a great opportunity, Very fun fast pace environment, a lot of on the fly decision making necessary, never a dull moment

ConsVery little work life balance, as a manager you are expected to work on your days off, its an unspoken rule.

Advice to Senior ManagementHR needs to create a proper development program in place that is measurable.

    Sales Rep at Wind Mobile

Sales Representative (Former Employee) Vancouver, BC (Canada)

Pros- Easy sell because the plans sell themselves and you don't feel like you need to fool the customer to get a plan, since there are no hidden terms.

Cons-Pay is low and upper management (not your direct boss, talking about HQ) are not always on the ball of things.
-To solve client problems you often have to deal with customer service, yourself, and they can make your day a living nightmare, because they are quite incompetent (the outsourced centers)

Advice to Senior ManagementTrain your customer service better

not a career. i roll out of bed in the morning and throw on a wind shirt.

    Wind Specialist (Current Employee)

Prosorganizational culture is optimistic, young, and not too formal

Conscommission is not generous, way below industry average

was very disappointed when i started with the company and learned the pay structure

Advice to Senior Management80% threshold is not fair to those representatives who are capable of performing. sales reps should not be held accountable for other sales reps failures to meet target or unwillingness to commit to personal sales targets. sales reps would likely sell more if they were not anxious about whether or not the store is hitting target. What is the point of trying to close a sales if the store is trending 70%?
