    Pros

Great base salary 14.00/hr as loyalty associate + uncapped commission. Always some kind of food/party provided to entire floor, at least every other week. Great culture for interactions with coworkers, people are happy to be at work.

    Cons

Constantly changing environment- count on policy/rules changes often. Dedicated desks not available to all call reps, sales agents and low-tier agents expected to float desks every shift.

    Pros

Freedom, decent health coverage, free cable and internet, paid vacation and personal days, friendly work environment, great support. Phone, tablet and access to all the supplies you need. Training is very good and company has a good reputation. An excellent stepping stone for experience.

    Cons

Pay is much less compared to competitors in the same industry. Product's price raised considerably ($15-20 in a year) all while dropping more than they gained (premium channels and other networks). Company seemed have a history of trying to take away as much as possible without upsetting the employees too much to the breaking point. Very few if all positive changes, all mostly negative. With every change in commission structure, the bottom line means less money (some may increase but more decrease in other areas.) Only a handful of sales reps hit the highest payout progressive because it's very high as well as quota. The new commission structure is one of the worst in the industry. Same amount of sales made is about 30-50K difference a year in pay compared to Comcast and Charter for example.
With change in CEO, company seems to be changing and more about profit and less about the employees. They now outsource in other countries, pay employees less, drop more from the product while raising prices considerably as well as not working with current customers anymore the way they have in the past.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop overhauling the commission structure so much. Change is to be expected but to the degree of changes occurring, it makes working for the company FAR less likely, especially when compared to competitors.

    Pros

Good/Work life balance. Going into the office is like going to visit family. Benefits are offered with some incentives. Employees are honored for excellent work. Advancement is available for those who want to move up. The owner and most of upper level management (i.e. COO, CFO, etc) truly care about the people that comes into the company.

    Cons

To many cliques within the offices. The using some of PTO causes penalties. If you have and opinion or dare to stand up for yourself against mistreatment, you may be reprimanding. If you are not a part of the managers "favorites" list you stand the chance to overlooked for positions that you qualify for.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If cliques are eliminated amongst management more people will stay. When you have people that go above and beyond consistently it's ok to tell them "Job Well Done." Many people get overlooked for the work they do while the ones that are "management favorites" get promoted and acknowledged when they don't deserve it.

I have been working at WOW! Internet full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Was a good place to work until 2014. Seemed all was still on track until last week when the bomb dropped.

    Cons

Two rate increases plus lost pay to the ones that actually bring in the revenue. Good managers let go while "favorites" were kept. Comp plans changed too much, Comcast pays 3x with less quota. Your about to lose what little you have left now. My supervisor is bipolar and too touchy feely. He will be the reason half his team will walk out the door because he's buddy buddy with the big boss. Shame no one higher sees both his faces.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wake up. Better communication. Make better choices of who stays and who let go.

Only pay gas mileage if you sell an unreasonable amount, yet allow managers to drive a company car even though they barely drive.
    Poor cable, Internet services
    Touchy feely manager

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company is losing all their strong sales ppl to the competitors. Wake up!

    Pros

Co workers on the same lower levels are great. Pay stated out great

    Cons

Worst management ever. Three mangers over me have no idea what prices are or the systems. I am now training my office manager after just training my lead. Company expects meetings in a different time zone two hours before your day starts to be a priority even with less than 24 notice of meeting. Constant rate increases on customers due to bad budgeting. Commission changes almost monthly. Management buddy system

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Replace all upper management in sec region

I have been working at WOW! Internet full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Most of the installer/service guys are trustworthy people and are great to work with. The office and free service are a great perk. General Manager is great to work for.

    Cons

Compensation is poor for the type of work performed. Work-life balance is non-existent because management thinks WOW! is your life. Management on the operations side is very poor. Hard word doesn't pay off at WOW! in Columbus Ga. Unfortunately the best thing to do to advance to get an easy work load is to ride motorcycles or go camping at Blanton Creek with management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to the CEO is to get rid of all upper management in the Columbus GA office and start over with people that are honest. It is time to bury the buddy system and start promoting the hard working and qualified.

I have been working at WOW! Internet full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good Shifts and plenty of overtime available. Holidays and lots of time off available.

    Cons

The expectations of the company for quality and handle time is impossible to hit every single call and for every single situation which happens to be different. It is stressful with termination always breathing down your neck.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Possibly become more bendable and realize people are not good at every aspect but some are experts at other areas. Focus more on what actually saves the company money, saying just the right words or actually preventing fcc fines and resolving customer issues without having to roll out a tech. When the accounts come in and the customers have been lied to or they have credits after credits applied to their account of course those customers were happy with the reps who did that but they actually are injuring the company that they work for by draining money from the back end.
