Pros
as a size 300-400 staff company, it provided much promotion opportunity in each job, due to the company is under expansion.
Cons
a tradition Taiwan style company, lack of system control even in sales and marketing, new join staff is difficult to adapt.
Advice to Senior Management
align with the market trend , change in company style to be a global company, change in management style to align with company change .
Pros
As Sales or Marketing person, you have solid backend support.
Very low cost structure. Easy to compete with competitors on price.
Cons
Lack of training. No new knowledge gained during employment.
Advice to Senior Management
Judged performance of employees by merit and not seniority
Pros
Start-up style company with seeming potential for career growth & advancement. Opportuntiy to contribute to early growth stages of well backed (financially) company looking for a foothold beyond their business ventures in Asia.
Cons
Not sure how to do business in the Americas. No global presence (not established in Europe). Small product offering. Management has turned work environment into "good ol' boys" club.
Advice to Senior Management
Mothership (Taiwan) should maintain the "New Era in Distribution" philosophy. Current management uses the same distribution model as every other distributor in the Americas - without having the product offerings or stock necessary to compete in the market. Eliminate the "Good Ol' Boys" network.
