Former Employee – worked at WS Packaging Group full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Highly dedicated work force willing to do whatever is necessary to satisfy the customer.
Vast decorating technology with a national presence and vast client network.
Cons – Lack of leadership, direction, trust, integrity and moral compass. Core values diminished in exchange for a control and command leader, highly process driven (TPS/LEAN) when applied in the Danaher model undermining the core values instilled over the past 40 years of employee engagement and empowerment philosophy.
Advice to Senior Management – Get back to the grass roots level of the organization, learn the business and interact with the employees instead of applying the danaher lean philosophy of "dog eats dog".
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at WS Packaging Group full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – GM is gone
things are looking better for the meantime
Cons – this IMPACT thing is dragging down the business - lost quality completely and focus only on $$$. Lots of new people working without training. Employees don't care anymore
Advice to Senior Management – get out on the floor and actually speak to the employees - not in your gemba walks. work with these people hand in hand. Learn what your new practices have created. Put away your phones and computers and TALK TO US.
– I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Standing on your feet all day, only 15 minute lunch break

Current Employee – been working at WS Packaging Group
Pros – A small company feel with many of the benefits of a larger company. Very flexible with work/life balance. If you work hard it does get noticed.
Cons – Each facility has its unique culture (to be expected) which is good and bad. Some growing pains from acquisitions and bringing systems together/communication.
Advice to Senior Management – Some decisions at the upper level are made without consideration to the seasonality of some facilities. The overall drive for improvement is positive.
