    Pros

Excellent benefit package (even for part-time employees). Magnet accredited hospital (first and only one in state at time I worked there) nice facility and latest technologies. Provides same level of care to ALL patients regardless of ability to pay!!

    Cons

Hospital is so busy and at max capacity (often times on diversion) that it appears dirty compared to smaller private hospitals.

Pay is prob average to other hospitals but still considerably low compared to other states.

    Advice to Management

There seems to be a major issue in work flow because some employees are union (housekeeping, sterile processing,
Nursing assistants, etc) while others are not (nursing, scrub techs)

    Pros

Great benefits, PTO, good relationships with staff.

    Cons

Previous experience obtained from other jobs is looked down upon. You are expected to only do what is in the job description. Low pay even with years of experience.

    Pros

    Work/life balance
    Benefits are pretty good

    Cons

    Compensation/wages
    Turnover - high turnover rate
    Communication isn't always the best

    Advice to Management

Some departments struggle communicating because of the high turnover rate. Some departments are okay, but others simply do not pay enough to keep employees from constantly searching for new jobs. This leaves the ones who stay with a constant influx of new employees to train who just end up leaving anyway.

    Cons

Certain departments rarely have openings and if you don't know someone in the hospital, it is difficult to get hired.

    Pros

Immediate supervisor was very friendly and cooperative. Always takes my values my input and feedback. Always gave positive feedback regarding my performance.

    Cons

This job is very low pay. Management does not value the lower level employees and treat them as though they are invisible.

    Advice to Management

Value everyone's contribution and reward loyalty.
