Pros
Great place to work with good benefits
Cons
Not much growth in career in IT.
Pros
Some of the best portfolio managers and investment strategists in the industry, excellent investment products, especially in asset allocation, technology and natural resources. You can learn a tremendous amount as an analyst from very astute minds and experienced professionals. It's a great place to begin an investment management or wholesaling career.
Cons
Insular, narrow-minded corporate culture. Outsized perks, including personal use of corporate jets, for senior execs while downsizing an underpaid workforce. Some areas such as marketing have a severe lack of personnel diversity. Cronyism rampant outside of the investment management area. High home office employee turnover. Lousy health plan. Obama supporters need not apply.
Advice to Senior Management
Replace entrenched leaders who take credit for investment management and sales successes, yet add little value themselves.
Pros
Their company policy is outstanding. Their code of eithics is impecable. Standard compensation, but it is very competitive. The earngin potential is touch notch. Very well known in the financial industry, great staff, very welcoming, supportive, Open Door Policy. Great Atmosphere. Based on solid financial Goals. Have been around since 1936.
Cons
Name recognition not so well known outside the financial industry. Speculation about future from co-workers is not so hot. They have a high rention rate for employee, but it is still a lot of turn over. The learning curve to get into the financial securities market can be steep, Starting a book of business can prove challenging.
Advice to Senior Management

Cons
The cafeteria could have some televisions.
