I have been working at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Many opportunities, friendly staff, great management

    Cons

Working as a Temp is a disadvantage. They seem to only hire from the outside instead of looking at the talent that they have working for them currently.

    - Encouraging staff and environment
    - Fair pay
    - Challenging training

    Cons

It can be a very stressful environment. As with any workplace, some people work and some people get away with a lot less work. Workload is bigger than any lab I've ever worked in. Be prepared to up speed and time management.

I worked at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Company has a strong desire for excellence. Great leadership development programs.

    Cons

Several new VP positions added making it difficult to determine who was over what and who needed to be involved in the decision making process. This created a challenging environment and stalled progress.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on staffing issues to reduce hiring freezes, layoffs and meeting staffing level by attrition. Continue to support programs, research and centers of excellence that bring national recognition to the center. Improve the affiliation model to support quality and clinical trials at community hospitals.

I worked at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

They have decent insurance, and benefits such as stock and 401k. They will work around your schedule. Sometimes you have the potential to get a bonus.

    Cons

The moral and value of each individual employee is very low. The pay is low and work load expected is impossible to complete. There is never enough to staff and the work you do is unappreciated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They need to appreciate their employees more and show more respect.

    Cons

I worked at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center

    Pros

    Pays the bills

    Children's hospital
    Good place to learn
Will hire non qualified people for titles they dont deserve.

    Cons

    Benefits decreased
    Employees voice doesn't matter
    Management doesn't have employees back
Hard work and dedication goes unappreciated.
Loyalty to the company means nothing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Never push a loyal hard working employee to the point that they stop caring.
Get to know who you work with and not just come in and not speak to the employees that are beneath you. Thats rude and a good judge of who you are as a person.
