    There are a lot of opportunities for advancement, and the people are great... like family

    Cons

    Walmart has a bad reputation, so telling others you work there is sometimes met with groans.

    Support your store mamnagers and assistant managers, they have a lot on thier plates.

    clean , bright, high moral, great integrety and friendly team players

    Cons

    can't work overtime, can't share double jobs.. need more hours, can't go above set number

    Advice to Management

    weed out players that make others sour, not keeping the customer is the most important - take them out of cash lines..

    I worked at WalMart Canada part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - able to switch shifts easily - nice manager - amazing coworkers - got paid well for doing basically nothing

    Cons

    - some other department managers were nice to your face but would tell your managers bad things about you

    I have been working at WalMart Canada full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    - Free training, they promote a lot from within - Great benefits, profit sharing and deferred profit sharing - If your able to move around the country you'll move up fast - Great Corporate culture, you can talk to anyone you want and they talk back to you like a human being.

    Cons

    - Sometimes lack of communication can be frustrating - Long hours - You will take a lot of flack from the public on things that may be out of your control, you'll want to have thick skin.

    Great atmosphere, lots of people to meet. Great for the person who loves to work with people. Lots of places to grow to. only the sky is the limit. They are here to help us work for them.

    Cons

    I dont have any cons really, dont let the stress of th job bring you down, as all jobs have stress. Give it your best, Never be afraid to ask questions as someone is always willing to help you understand.

    some employees dont really care about doing their job because walmart is so friendly they become to lax

    Advice to Management

    Maybe touch base with employes on a one on one base as well as group meetings, some people are remiss to say anything bad about fellow employees because they dont want to "create waves"
