    Pros

Keeps you busy, and it's fun. You get to buy shares and the company will meet what you pay (it gives dividends too!). There are many opportunities to advance yourself in the company. You get a raise every year you are there, plus annual bonus from company profit.

    Cons

Sometimes management doesn't always support you. Sometimes management can hinder you from advancing in the company. Not a very high paying job. It's hard to become a manager without doing overnight management position (not everyone can do that). Not a stable job, you need to work shifts.

    Pros

salary and bonuses is very competitive fast paced exciting work environment always changing and adapting great training program (computerized)

    Cons

stress is a constant -results are tracked daily on almost every aspect of business work life balance - always in contact with store or being contacted very demanding of budgeted results wages and associates cutbacks make it difficult to manage

    Advice to Management

keep it simple. follow simplified programs and keep associates motivated. Create a peer group with fellow managers for help with operational issues and customer service.

    Pros

Great coworkers & great atmosphere, shifts went by fast! Pleasant small talk between coworkers and customers

    Cons

For a large company, you'd think they'd offer more than 10% discount The management is a joke, office politics is very present. The more you advance, the less work/life balance. I felt discriminated against by the front end manager (will be following up on this with the labour board). Seriously need management team to go through a personal seminar of some sort

    Advice to Management

Try and recognize why there is such a high turn over with your staff, and address it.

    Pros

    Cons

office politics as everywhere, in certain area leadership or people have only been with walmart, although a good thing and great experience it can prevent change to happen faster or recognize the need to change.

    Pros

Great place to work good opportunity to advance from floor position to a management position and open door policy, respect for individual and respect for an employee.

    Cons

Not a very good pay for floor employees and middle management and when I comes to customer-employee disagreement customer is always right

    Advice to Management

Be more open to suggestions customer service managers should be paid lot more to motivate and keep good managers and not lose them because of a bad pay

    Pros

Friendly co-workers and management. Will never disregard safety rules and there are generally lots of hours/shifts available and good upward mobility.

    Cons

They'll always be understaffed leading to everyone being over-worked. Paying close to as minimum wage as possible and hiring more part-time workers to avoid giving health benefits to full-time workers. The understaffing can lead to frustrated customers and almost consistently terrible customer interactions.

    Advice to Management

Stop understaffing the front end of stores and hire more full-time workers.
