    Pros

This is Probably the most luxurious and historic property in New Orleans, The Salary and benefits package are excellent for the New Orleans Market

    Cons

Employee Moral is low sometimes in the The Waldorf Astoria Spa at the Roosevelt Hotel due to the negative attitudes and prejudicial mentality of the Upper management. Scheduling can be a nightmare based on hotel occupancy, and a 7 day work week is sometimes the norm.

  6. Less than helpful managers who love to place blame.

    Pros

Friendly employees, generous bakery chefs, HR department always there for you to advise and help with anything you need.

    Cons

Managers, travel program, no benefits for part-time, a lot of under-appreciation all around.

    Advice to Management

Take a few minutes (2-4) each day to appreciate every single person under your management.

    Pros

    Good job with a union.

    Cons

New owners and they are offering buy out packages.

    Advice to Management

Keep the employees informed with hotel meeting with the Managing Director.

    Pros

The Waldorf is a flagship Hilton property and has perks that few others have. I beleive the pay for the industry is competitive. You have a reputation for being the best.

    Cons

Long hours, management did not get much support especially when the union challenged others. It was also an unusual management structure with almost all of the senior managers relatively inesperienced, but handpicked by the GM. The benefits were also not very good.

  9. Finance Intern

    Pros

Wonderful place to work. Great coworkers, though we all felt that management was not very focused on anything besides protecting themselves.

    Cons

That cafeteria food was absolutely godawful. Barely edible, which is wildly disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. Still, I guess it was a free meal...

    Pros

The benefits are numerous for a full-time employee. My experience within my department was phenomenal, and given enough hard work and good attitude over time, I'd say promotion is guaranteed within 12~14 months.

    Cons

More conservative working environment given the nature of the brand. The pay is competitive and the interview process was slightly long. However, great efforts should be given for a good job

    Advice to Management

Only wish is higher pay, but that's on everyone's mind.
