    Pros

The people I work with (pharmacists and fellow technicians) are great, friendly, and supportive. Managers are nice as well.

    Cons

Walgreens tends to pay their technicians lower than most competitors. Annual raise is a good thing but the longer you work the smaller that raise gets. Be prepared to get angry/frustrated customers (usually due to insurance issues).

    Advice to Management

Hear out your employees - even the smallest of issues, because it affects workflow. With the growing number of people on prescription medications, more pressure is put on the pharmacy - hear us out! Give your pharmacists lunch breaks. I've seen pharmacists work 12 hour shifts and never get a break.

    Pros

Great co-workers in my store. Everyone works hard to complete what they can.

    Cons

Employees abuse the no retaliation rule to harass leadership.

    Advice to Management

Stop cutting hours and expecting exceptional customer care with no one to provide it.

    Pros

I get to travel in a company provided vehicle from store to store and don't have to be in one place all day long.

    Cons

There are currently a lot of changes and restructuring being done within the company. Which leads to some uncertainty for job security.

    Pros

Walgreens offers a class to help you pass the PTCB exam. You also get your hourly pay to go to the classes and they pay for the exam. Flexible hours available and pretty good benefits. Management does a good job at my store.

    Cons

Pay is a little low but most retail pharmacies pay around these same wages. Not enough hours to support the volume of people we see every day.
