    Pros

Easy job once you understand what you are doing. Excellent for work/school/life balance.

    Cons

Low minimum wages, Some managers are better than others at dealing with customer relations and associate relations.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your workers, they will give you the most insight into the minds of customers, as we shop there too. Also, make sure everyone is told about changes to policies when the changes come into effect, rather than later.

    Pros

Great company to grow in. There are a lot of opportunities in this field and it's a face paced environment

    Cons

Mistakes are crucial. Must be able to learn fast. Customers can be rude. But Walmart will protect you in any worse case scenario

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your employees. We are front line. If you don't listen how would you know how to run Walmart as a business?

    Pros

Simple straight forward job, left to do your own thing [little to no 'babysitting'], Not real stressful and pretty relaxed environment.

    Cons

Can't seem to get schedules correct. They don't accept doctors notes, no such thing as an 'excused absence' to them even if you were in the ER. Management can be a little lacking sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Maybe more or more frequent training.

    Pros

Great benefits. Good pay. Decent bonus structure.

    Cons

Recently the "work/life balance" had been deemed as not necessary. When I started the company wanted to ensure that you had ample time to spend with your family even through the difficult time odd the holidays. The pay few years that hasn't been a priority. Staffing is a struggle. Ad a salaried employee you are going to put in extra time if your store is not properly staffed

    Pros

You can find some of your best friends here. The hour breaks are nice. Managers are friendly as long as you do your job. Best first job.

    Cons

The pay is not enough as a primary income. Nice work environment however not enough pay or benifits.

    Advice to Management

Show your employees that they matter and show the upmost respect and they will do the same.

    Pros

Almost all of my coworkers were wonderful.

    Cons

Unhelpful and unintelligent management. Customers who think your register is magic and can fix every problem. People who pitch a fit for what they want, and management who lets it happen conditioning these people to realize acting foolish gets them what they want.

    Advice to Management

Hire people with actual knowledge, people who have worked in the store.

    Pros

It is easy to get in the door at Walmart, it is even easy to reach an hourly management position/

    Cons

Walmart doesn't advance its most qualified people. Advancement in the company comes down to little more than a popularity contest.

    Advice to Management

Know you people, Know their skills, and put the aces in their places.
