Pros
Ability to make a big impact. Culture. Responsibility. Big projects. Big exposure. Big potential.
Cons
Low entry-level pay. Not competitive in this category, company loses a lot of top engineering talent because of it. Simply raising the entry-level pay would do a lot for their company's recruiting and talent base in the future.
Pros
good benefits
good pay
reasonable hours
employee discount
Cons
no overtime
lack of communication between associates and managers
company policy
lack of care for employees well being
Advice to Senior Management
Take more consideration and concern for te fellow employee's that you are hiring.
Pros
Hours are great.
Pay is negotiable.
Incentive Programs.
It is a good place to start when you are trying to advance on your own.
Cons
Customers that are unprofessional. Some times the people in charge seemed to be on a power trip or did not seem to care about others opinions.
Advice to Senior Management
I think it would be great if suggestions given by employees were taken seriously and moreover if there were more incentives.
Pros
Mon-Fri work schedule is great and vacation time. Health ins is ok.
Cons
Expect you to do alot with very little to no help and take care of customers. Upper Management doesnt care if they over work you or if you need help. Beg for time off (vacation or requested days off). Down sizing and making department managers take more than one dept and expect to much to get done with no help.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop treating the associates like robots they can only get so much done in one day esp when you make them have more than one dept to take care because you dont want to pay anymore dept managers and associates.
Pros
Corporate culture fosters respect for associates across all levels of management.
Career advancement opportunity for high performers.
Job Stability.
Cons
Walmart demands good time management because the culture doesn't encourage good work-life balance.
Management associates work 1 Saturday a month. Daily work hours are 7:30A-5:30P.
Advice to Senior Management
More openness regarding promotion opportunities and how to achieve a promotion.
Pros
Good Pay.
Good scheduling for people who go to school as well.
Work in a team and Solo environment.
A decent amount of freedom in the shop.
Cons
Expect you to work at peek performance all the time.
Constantly work in other department ex: Pushing carts, hardware, lawn and garden, unloading truck, even taking over any janitorial roles any where in the store they see fit.
A lot of managers are put on heavy stress and they apply the stress onto you whether it be by telling to to complete a task within a small amount of time or just their attitude towards you.
Advice to Senior Management
Try to remember to treat your employees correctly. If you treat them with respect and reward them with certain incentives you will be rewarded with employees doing their best.
Pros

Cons
long working hours and not enough coworkers
