    I rather starve to death

Wal Mart Cashier (Former Employee) Mesa, AZ

ProsIf you pay attention, most tasks are easy
If you know the right people, your hard work will be acknowledged
If you work there long enough, the bonus myshare is pretty decent.

ConsManagement has stupid expectations and constantly pushes it's employees to do either uncomfortable things or things that can't possibly be done in the time frame they give you.
The pay is ridiculously low ,
They do not train you enough to answer the questions that customers have.
They don't train you enough, period.
You don't get your breaks on time. Sometimes You don't get them at all.
No one in engagement cares if you were mistreated.
     Customers are awful.

Advice to Senior ManagementPay your workers a livable wadge.
You can afford to give your employees more than 10% off non food items.
Train your people and make them do ALL the CBLS before they are thrown out on the floor. Make it a requirement.

    a decent job

Sales Associate (Current Employee) Mesa, AZ

Prosif you hold out for a couple of years your pay does increase, semi good benefits, depending on the store and location enjoyable customers

Conslots of work with little pay, and never enough staff. keeps you on your toes every day, i know lots of people who got fired for the wrong reasons, or some management will wait to let you go because of one past mistake.

Advice to Senior Managementmost management works their way up so every one has sympathy for how hard their employees work but it's rare to feel fully appreciated. it's nice to have scheduling needs met but that helps the bottom line.

    Treated like a slave

Cart Pusher (Former Employee) Mesa, AZ

ProsEasy to get hired, even easier to quit. Expectations are low, 10% discount is nice if you shop at Walmart often.

ConsNo way to advance, management was hard to work with, locked on minimum wage. They did everything in their power to try to fire me, so I saved them the trouble and quit.

Advice to Senior ManagementPromote current employees before hiring new ones.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
