    Pros

Lot of potential to grow! I left the company after 8 yrs then came back. I've been an hourly and salary manager! Great home/work balance for most! Benefits are great and pay is good.

    Cons

Sometimes hourly Associates no more than Salary Associates which in turn makes salaried managers lazy! To many implementations at one time.

    Advice to Management

Listen to Associates a little more!!

    Pros

Great people and management to work with. Great environment and pay is excellent. Great schedule. Excellent benefits.

    Cons

Learning all pharmacy technicalities for "real" world execution. I, at this point in time, have no qualms with the company. The only other con would be that it's a very busy pharmacy. A little breather once and awhile would be nice.

    Advice to Management

Pharmacy Management is great keep up the good work. Do not really have any interaction (professionally) with Wal-Mart general management. They are also great in the interaction I have had with them.

    Pros

Great company with very positive culture. If you work hard, you can succeed and rise up in the company. Demanding, but not cut-throat.

    Cons

Large and can sometimes be bureaucratic. Still, pretty lean for a company its size. Promotions and compensation are fairly formulaic based on tenure.

    Advice to Management

Adjust compensation to be more customized based on individual performance. Some of the old guard need to be moved to new roles.

    Pros

Opportunity to move up, fun work atmosphere, good fringe benefits like stock sharing, 401K. Starting next year if you have sick days they will pay for the first day missed. Right now if you take 2 sick days in a row you only get paid for the second one. Pay is going up! I am at 11.35 now, next month I go to 13.00 since I am level 7 and have associates under me.

    Cons

They give us too many departments to manage at once and we feel stretched to the limit. Some associates are lazy and rarely get coached so we as supervisors do not feel management has our back on that.

    Advice to Management

Don't expect miracles from your supervisors, give them the help they need. They want to do a great job and help customers, but when we feel we have more to do than we can actually get done it's frustrating. We want Our departments to look great, but we feel we do not have adequate time to do a good job.
