Benefits good. Stock matching, medical, disability, life, dental, optical, 401K.
    Salary above average.

    Pros

    You gain experience.
    Benefits.
    Flexibility.
    Can easily move up.
    Family environment.
    Overnight is best.

    Cons

The pay does not equal the hard work that you put in. The best workers are used and abused while others skate by.

    Advice to Management

    Treat hard workers better.

    Pros

You get holiday pay if you work 8 hours or more on any major federal holiday like 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day etc. Co-workers are great to get along with. Management for the most part is pretty laid back. Store manager is awesome!

    Cons

I work as a sales associate on the gm side and everyday at 1pm all gm sales associates have to go over to grocery to help zone for a hour. You have enough people grocery to do that for a hour so stop taking people who work on the gm side over to grocery to zone. They play the same music over and over and over. Understaffing is a big problem

    Advice to Management

Hire more people and stop being so cheap!

    Pros

I enjoyed the closeness of the team, I enjoyed the specifics of the job very much and I respected the management leading the team.

    Cons

Walmart needs to depart from the "warehouse" design methodology of their office buildings. Lack of windows subtracts a certain level of decorum and ambience.

    Advice to Management

As it's been so long since I've worked there, anything I could say would be irrelevant and not apropos.

    Pros

People you work with are great. Friendly ready to help.

    Cons

Some of the rules for Walmart are a bit extreme. If you take your lunch break late you get written up. They would rather have you go to lunch then help customers. Not alto of training especially if you switch dept.

    Advice to Management

More understanding in certain situations. Listen more

    I worked at Walmart part-time

    Pros

The staff were very friendly and kind.

    Cons

The hours were long, and it was often very quiet in the pharmacy, which made time go by even slower.
