I have been working at Walmart

    Pros

You get a 10% discount from all Walmart stores.

    Cons

Very low wage. The management treats you as if your making salary based pay but its barely over minimum wage. No bonuses. Within a 3 year period we were only eligible once, yet the upper management got theirs annually.

I have been working at Walmart

    Pros

Walmart is a company that will take good care of you if you put in initiative and take pride in what you do. There is so much room to grow inside the store and abroad. Walmart promotes its people to higher positions in as little as 6 months to people who deserve it. Again, initiative and pride.

    Cons

For hourly associates (non-salary), we face hour cuts to meet business need. The cuts don't last very long, but that doesn't make it hurt any less. As with any retailer, the Holiday Season is always a challenge due to high customer volume and demand. Your time is precious and you spend a lot of it at work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your people. Talk to your people. Guide your people. They are on the Front Lines for you.
