    I have been working at Walmart part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Work with a good group of people: Always helpful and look out for each other.

    Cons

    Management are delusional in their expectations while they operate their store with as minimal staff as possible. You get different instructions from different managers in regards to the same task at hand;
    Erratic work hours. 40 hours this week and 24 hours the following week.They'll say their "computer" makes the schedule according to customer demands.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Better communication with management and supervisors would make everyone's' job a lot easier

    I have been working at Walmart full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Full medical, dental, life insurance. Discounts for managers on cell phone plans. Vacation time is acceptable. Associate discount is great especially during the holiday season which extends to food as well.

    Cons

    Too much time at work expected for this position. Ever changing directions leads to confusion on what is expected. Too much drama for this workplace, seems like a live Facebook environment. Operations management not on board with all areas of the store.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Values need to be fair and consistent with all levels of associates. The upper level of management is all about looking good for themselves and worrying about their promotion status.
