Former Employee – worked at Walmart Stores full-time for more than a year
Pros – Management positions pay well. Lots of job security. You will bonus if your store functions correctly.
Cons – Positions at upper level management few and far between. Hourly wages are below average.
Advice to Senior Management – Use some of that profitability to raise your base hourly wages to a liveable level.

Former Employee – worked at Walmart Stores full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – This is a great place to learn retail or even step into management. This one of the only jobs left that you dont have to have a degree to be in management for those who do not pursue post secondary education.
Cons – Pay is not all that great for those with degrees, overworked at times. Company is too cheap to be the one of the largest employers, and to make the profit that they make.
Advice to Senior Management – None

Former Employee – worked at Walmart Stores full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Salary and the opportunity to interact with great associates. Ability to grow your career to a certain extent
Cons – Open door policy only applies to associates up to a certain pay grade. New practice of hiring people from outside who consistently try to implement their own strategies rather than corporate direction, and their willingness to dispose of experienced talent rather than learning from them.
Advice to Senior Management – The dedicated management associates running your stores are the ones who receive the least amount of respect and are listened to the least.
