I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly coworkers, it's a job the pay is increasing for starting workers it's somewhat easy work. Some of the managers are good.

    Cons

They're always having you work in departments all over the store. They use and abuse us. Now they refuse to work with you on your schedule they make the shifts and it's a take it or leave it situation.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Opportunity to move up, fun work atmosphere, good fringe benefits like stock sharing, 401K. Starting next year if you have sick days they will pay for the first day missed. Right now if you take 2 sick days in a row you only get paid for the second one. Pay is going up! I am at 11.35 now, next month I go to 13.00 since I am level 7 and have associates under me.

    Cons

They give us too many departments to manage at once and we feel stretched to the limit. Some associates are lazy and rarely get coached so we as supervisors do not feel management has our back on that.

    Advice to Management

Don't expect miracles from your supervisors, give them the help they need. They want to do a great job and help customers, but when we feel we have more to do than we can actually get done it's frustrating. We want Our departments to look great, but we feel we do not have adequate time to do a good job.
