    Merchandise Planner

    Merchandise Planner (Former Employee)
    Brisbane, CA

ProsChill environment; jeans all week! As long as you get your work done, you're left alone. There's a buddy system to help you network outside of your department and gain a different perspective.

ConsThe planning tools were outdated and the workload became mundane. Hopes of promotion depending on other people leaving their roles due to maternity leave or quitting.

Advice to Senior ManagementUpgrade the tools the company uses so people don't spend so much time on tedious tasks and they can focus on growing as individual contributors.

Worst company I have ever worked for

    (Former Employee)
    Brisbane, CA

ProsPay is not too bad, if you are newly hired. Work load is not too heavy.

    Constoo many:
    - Very slow movement.
    - More than 50% of the projects got canceled in the middle or at the end when they are almost done. It's just ridiculous.
    - Benefits are bad. Number of holidays is less than most of the companies.
    - Only people who talk get promoted, but people who do the real things never get credits.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop the bureaucracy, start making things happen and start the efficiency.

    Very political. Non-collaborative.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Brisbane, CA

ProsOther than the name which is global and the location (SF bay area), there is no other reason to work for Walmart.com.

ConsYou would not want to work at Walmart.com if you seek career growth.
There is no appreciation for hard work and no job satisfaction.

Advice to Senior ManagementLeadership is not shoving things at people. Leaders must lead by example and know the people they work with to get the best out of them.
