Great co-workers terrible upper management that says one this and does the opposite.

I have been working at Walt Disney Company full-time

    Pros

Coworkers, salary and working conditions. The "Peon" workers are some of the best people I have worked with. The same, however, cannot be said for Upper management. The diversity of products means you are rarely bored and always challenged.,

    Cons

Senior management is a pack of lying wolves. They will look you in the eyes and tell you everything is great all while axing jobs for no reason whatsoever.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go take some ethics classes and stop your bold face lies. You handling of the recent re-org was the worst I have ever seen. Telling the employees they will not be affected that the re-org was just management, then after months axing some of the best talent in your company Charlie Wiener you should be ashamed!

I have been working at Walt Disney Company full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great benefits, great perks, great brand. You get to work with really smart and creative people.

    Cons

Very political environment. Company profits reign above all else. Employees are disposable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have more courage and commitment to developing new digital businesses / start-ups internally. Don't always look externally for innovation via acquisition where you pay 10x what could be developed internally if the right organizational and incentive structures were implemented.

I worked at Walt Disney Company part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Working in attractions was fun and enjoyable. The castmembers became great friends of mine and I loved going to work, most of the time! Disney has pretty nice benefits, including park access for you and your dependents.

    Cons

Costuming never has what you need in your size... Hours can get very low during the slower seasons. Many college-aged kids work here and can be immature. Guests can be rude but you have to grin and bear it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Tomorrowland management, keep up the good work! However, scheduling people for "group shifts" does not work well for people with lives outside of work: we need to know more than 4 hours before a shiftwhen we need to be at work!

I worked at Walt Disney Company full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Lots of opportunities to grow. Great experience working for a massive multi-national. Benefits were good, but a bit expensive. Lots of cool perks if you work in the right area.

    Cons

Ladder climbers galore. Need to always watch your back for someone. Compensation does not encourage staying with the company for a long time. to move up you have o leave and come back.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give more incentives for good people to stay
