    Pros

Well known brand - you don't often have to explain who you work for! Working at Disney gives great insight into the machinations of big business - the good and the bad While employee's careers may not progress well while at the company, they tend to do very well when they leave

    Cons

This is not a modern workplace - you will not find agile working offered as a benefit, job sharing or part-time roles. There are no future leaders style programmes or meaningful investment in personal development and the company doesn't appear to have an interest in creating an environment in which diversity -in every sense of the word - can flourish. Very hierarchical - the organisational structure is very rigid and as such opportunities for career progression outside of the inner circle are as rare as Tinkerbell's fairy dust.

    Advice to Management

It's 2015, not the 1950's, it's time to embrace new ways of working, empower and most of all trust your employees. Shake things up a bit and create an environment where ideas can come from anywhere and where diversity, innovation and entrepreneurialism can grow. Shareholders can only benefit from the increased productivity a more happy and engaged workforce will bring.

    Pros

As an intern, you can take on a lot of resonsibility and can become very trusted. Exposure to a lot of exciting projects. Very open and flat structure. Cool benefits like toy/clothes sales, free screenings of new releases etc.

    Cons

No graduate scheme to return after graduating.

    Advice to Management

Create a graduate programme as many interns would love to return!

    Pros

Summer hours means an easier finish on Fridays Good canteen with friendly staff Good options to help volunteer with charities and great causes

    Cons

Too many seniors/directors/heads of departments Very politically incorrect head of department for my area, not sure how she got away with some of the comments made.

    Advice to Management

No structure in my team and I was bullied out of my role and subsequently resigned.

    Pros

Great company with unrivalled franchises and products. Training and development courses are very comprehensive and professional. Career progression and movement is very good at junior to middle manager level. Company benefits are good and the working environment is inspirational if you are passionate about media, film and consumer products.

    Cons

Promotional opportunities at senior level strangely are much harder to attain. Not all roles are openly advertised internally in comparison to other large multinationals i.e Coca Cola. Senior decision making can be slow and due to too many levels of bureaucracy. Not as results driven as imagined causing delay/missed opportunities due to risk aversion/politics.

    Advice to Management

Disney needs to become more customer focussed and develop much greater pace and urgency. Often new product initiatives or profit opportunities were missed / minimised due to long winded corporate approvals. Entrepreneurial/inquisitive/challenging individuals should be encouraged not stifled by red tape or politics.

    Pros

Great perks. Health, dental, an awesome pension scheme and little bonuses like free Disneyland entry and super cheap cruises.

    Cons

If you don't work in America, in the mothership, it feels like you're a second class citizen. There was lots of posturing regarding career development but my career did not progress at all in 18 months. I actually count myself lucky that I was made redundant and forced to progress my career elsewhere. A dangerously comfortable place to work.

    Pros

Great company to work for, all the perks of working for an international company, the option to move around internally. There is constant change but they are the best at what they do.

    Cons

None really, I suppose it depends on who you work for but generally most people seem to have been in the organisation a few years
