Massive company that needs a bit of restructuring

Product Manager (Former Employee) Shanghai, Shanghai (China)

ProsIt's a really big consumer product company that focuses on the mainland China market. A great place to learn the market and Chinese business culture. A lot of people come from all parts of China so it would be challenging to work with them in the beginning. Loads of work, but you will be able to learn quite a lot in a short period of time.

If you want a stable work, this is the place. But if you want to excel and build career in short period of time, the HR won't let you. You would have to be at a certain age, then they will assign you to a better position.

    Cons1. No training
    2. The only way to build career is through their MA program
    3. Managers and directors lack communication
    4. Poor HR department
    5. Somewhat like Japanese companies; full contribution doesn't give you better salary nor job title, you have to wait for your superiors to leave or get promoted.

Advice to Senior ManagementOK salary but no benefits.
