    Pros

It was a good place to work with a family feeling and sense of teamwork. One of the pluses of working for a small company is getting to know everyone and feeling involved and aware of whats going on.

    Cons

Unfortunately, because it was a small company, there were few opportunities to be able to move up to a better job, so there were limited rewards for excelling other then kepping your current job.

    Advice to Management

WDS was sold to CDS and most of the employees were laid off. So advice is pretty moot at this point.

I worked at Warehouse Demo Services part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible work schedules, no late night shifts, opportunity to meet a wide variety of people, opportunity to learn about a wide variety of products.

    Cons

Many stretches where there were only one or two shifts per week, demonstrators required to stand except during breaks, no benefits, some customers are inconsiderate, some managers/supervisors leave a lot to be desired when it comes to fairness in scheduling and career development..

    Advice to Management

Since WDS has been taken over by CDS, there may have been changes in management. The demonstrator positions are worth more than the $11.00 wage they pay, so a change in the compensation plan would help with their constant turnover. They should also make sure that demonstrators have at least two shifts per week, no matter what time of year.

I worked at Warehouse Demo Services part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay and opportunity for extra hours

    Cons

High turn over rate. Many people dissatisfied with managements disregard for times able to work which were discussed upon hiring. Expected to "talk to yourself" through constant verbal pitch even when there are no customers in sight. No health benefits

    Advice to Management

Make sure your lead supervisors are properly trained on how to speak to employees in a respectful manner on the floor and follow the rules when Hiring Manager is not. Leads should be trained in how to treat their external customers as well as their internal customers.
