Great company with great people

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Warner Bros. as an intern for less than a year

ProsI really enjoy the people there. They are smart, approachable and very helpful.

ConsThe biggest downside is they don't sponsor H1B visa. It brings lots of hassle for internationals.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe compensation, at least for business departments(not creative side), is not very competitive.

– I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Exciting and entertaining...worldwide...

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Burbank, CA

I worked at Warner Bros. full-time for more than 10 years

ProsLots of opportunity to learn/grow/develop/contribute...one is challenged to meet and exceed his/her potential...ever-evolving landscape to meet dynamic organizational and business needs, never boring...good comeraderie within department teams and across functions...hard work is generally appreciated and recognized...ability to think "outside the box" and take measured risks without crippling repercussion...true "family" culture...most stable studio environment within Entertainment industry

ConsSometimes studio politics can hamper logic...some long-tenured employees possess an unfounded "sense of entitlement", at all levels...at times, over arching studio projects collide due to lack of resources

Warner Bros Games, Kirkland, WA - I would happily work there again!

Game Developer (Former Employee)
Kirkland, WA

I worked at Warner Bros. as a contractor for more than a year

ProsA fantastic AAA team with a creative and teamwork oriented development environment. Coming in to work was fun, overtime was rare and appropriately compensated and the team was hands down the best games development team I've ever worked with (I've shipped 5 other games with teams that didn't even come close to the professionalism and sheer awesomeness of the Kirkland, WA team).

ConsHiring practices are very "Hollywood" style. Hiring doesn't follow the typical game development process and you may be a contract employee for several cycles (with a 3-6 month "cooldown" between contracts) before you are considered for a FTE position. That's a reflection of Burbank (WB Headquarters) culture, not the on-site Kirkland studio culture.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up the fantastic job!

Everything you would expect working at a massive studio.

Writer (Former Employee)
Los Angeles, CA

I worked at Warner Bros. as a contractor for less than a year

ProsTHe best thing about Warner Brothers Entertainment was receiving one of their branded checks when the contract was over.

ConsWarner Brothers will work you as hard as you let them and if that is not good enough they will find someone to replace you that day.
