I have been working at Warner Bros. full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Warner Bros. just laid off 1000+ people and I was one of them. Nevertheless, this is a company with great people, solid humans. I hace never worked at a place with folks who are as decent and genuinely care about each other. Sure, there are exceptions to this, as there are at any large company; however, this is about as 'humane' a company as exists. Spectacular benefits and more often than not, interesting projects to work on. Generally speaking, promotes from within.

    Cons

Like any large bureaucracy, very difficult to gets decisions made in a timely manner. Layers and layers of process. Not terribly different than any other large org. Difficult to move up within the organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fully embrace the digital era - make more investments in web-era programmers.

    Pros

Great benefits and vacation. Work life balance and flexible schedule

    Cons

No growth opportunities. Lot of inter department politics creates challenges for achieving anything.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Too many Vice Precidents who do nothing.

    I worked at Warner Bros.

    Pros

Great at formulating and directing campaigns that work.

    Cons

Not really risk takers when it comes to media campaigns; more formulaic than anything...fomulas have worked for the most part over the years.

I worked at Warner Bros. full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Benefits are pretty good and competitive as far as studios go
Work life balance great in my dept, but not necessarily the norm at the studios
If you're in the right group, it's great working for people who care about their work

    Cons

Time off policy is very good. I can't recall ever being denied.
In the accounting group, you often have to work while the studio is shut down during the holidays
Not a lot of growth opportunities. Outside hires usually get the nods.
Recent lay offs. Wish board would stand up to shareholders when they have very talented people

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Invest in growth of employees

I worked at Warner Bros. as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

The culture is great at Warner Bros.! Everybody is so willing to help you out and talk to you (even across departments), which made for a very positive internship experience for me. Also, the internship program is well-structured, which is another plus. Interns are invited to movie screenings, panels, and other events, and these were fun to attend. I also enjoyed meeting the other interns. In the summer, Warner Bros. has a lot of interns and being able to bond with these people this truly added to the experience.

    Cons

New opportunities within company are currently limited. Also, some departments did not have much for their interns to do (I didn't experience this, however).

I have been working at Warner Bros. full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Nice colleagues, nice work environment

    Cons

Does not pay the London living wage even though the studio tour is called "Warner Bros Studio Tour London", not enough staff to cover all needs, too many temporary and seasonal staff members

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay the London Living wage of £8.80 per hour. We know how much money the tour makes and you can certainly afford to pay your staff more.

I worked at Warner Bros. full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Amazing products - who doesn't love blockbuster movies and hit TV shows?

    Cons

Excessively political and consensus oriented (a polite term for sheep mentality). WB likes to think of itself as innovative, but the reality is that it doesn't like anything that will change the way it does business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's really hard to know what's going on unless you happen to be plugged in to the "right" people. For example, there's no way of knowing who does what when you're a new employee because there aren't any organizational charts.
