I worked at Warner Bros. as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Since day one my boss made it apparent that I'd be working on important projects for the department. I was never relegated to an errand boy and felt that my work held value in the company. In addition to the interesting responsibilities, my internship program coordinated weekly workshops ranging from resume-writing to conflict management. Outside of the office, interns possessed company perks such as advanced screenings, gift-store discounts, and access to the lot.

    Cons

There were a few problems accessing important documents due to outdated software (MS Office 2003) and poor communication with the IT department.

    - Great salary and benefits
    - Large corporation, but entertainment industry culture; no need to dress like a banker
    - Fabulous events, company-wide and within divisions

    Pros

    Meet lots of creative people

    Cons

caste system when it comes to moving up - you can't unless you are friends with the person who needs to hire someone. Even harder for people who are not white.

The work/life balance was great and it was not bureaucratic at all which was refreshing coming from a larger corporate.

I have been working at Warner Bros. full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The people are generally intelligent and friendly, and the benefits are good.

    Cons

Processes and communications between Burbank and subsidiaries are often impractical and move glacially slow.
Long-standing feuds between groups are allowed to continue unchecked.
Certain execs hire friends from previous companies, but don't hold them accountable, even when it is clear that they are not performing.
Very little thought is put into improving underlying technology in order to make creating new products faster and less cumbersome.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make the hand-offs between Burbank and subsidiaries quick and efficient.
Eliminate the childish bickering and in-fighting between groups and/or organizations.
    Reward and recognize high-achievers.
    Hold low-achievers and troublemakers accountable.
Show that you actually care about quality... customers should not be considered product testers!
