I have been working at Warner Music full-time

    Pros

    No pros here at all.

    Cons

Absolutely one of the worst companies I have ever worked for. People are not very bright, unprofessional and their technology is outdated especially in the BTS area. Environment was disgusting. Unemployment rate is dropping. You could find something better and not settle for this poorly run company. Stay away from this company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Since Warner Music is privately owned by a billionaire, I highly recommend you suggest to the billionaire that he sell Warner Music immediately and cut his losses.

I have been working at Warner Music full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Easy work atmosphere, good work life balance, friendly co-workers, survived the downturn level, transition to digital. Good transition from local to regional to global model and new management making new investments after years of cost cutting and downsizing. The core values have remained the same and overall employee friendly policies and lot of trust and empowerment despite limited career growth

    Cons

change of ownership and managements several times, too many cuts and depleted workforce, pessimism on future, politics. Outlook has remained grim for more than a decade

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

synergy across business units, career path and growth opportunities

I worked at Warner Music as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

You're interning at the top of the industry and are able to learn whatever you want if you put the effort in. You will get out of the experience as much as you put into it. Great culture.

    Cons

No pay, but not a bad thing at all considering the experience and networking opportunities you are gaining. It's the music industry, so no pay for interns should be expected.

I have been working at Warner Music as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

We got to attend some fun events that WMNashvile set for their artists for free!

    Cons

I barely saw my supervisors during my internship. They were always out of the office and they did not give clear instructions on how to do a project. When we finished the project and turned it in, they scrutinized us for doing it completely wrong and had no mercy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Warner Music full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    - Brand Name
    - Casual Dress Code

    Cons

Too many to list. Lets see:
    - Ancient, out of touch with market reality and how to treat people.
    - Poor and unreliable managers with whimsical style of operation. No sense of loyalty.
    - Extremely top down. No autonomy. Managers one level up are invisible and sit on their high horse. Open communication is looked down upon.
    - No process or policies whatsoever.
    - Hire and Fire is core to their culture. Yes, you are extremely expendable. Thats why they love working with contractors.
    - Heavily outsourced as well and yes at the first chance your job would get shipped and you would be redundant.
