Pros – fantastic benefits, flexible schedule, the mission of improving oral health in Washington is inspiring.
Cons – Salaries are disturbingly low for front line to mid-level management. Tenure is too highly relied upon for advancement; employees with Masters Degrees working under leaders with no college education, simply because the manager has been with the company for over a decade - but without any experience or formal education in the field they are managing. Very defined line between front-line employees and management - its the "haves and the have-nots." Even the bonus structure favors those who make the most money already.
Pros – Amazing co-workers - kind, smart, funny.
Cons – Management is clueless about what it takes to do our jobs and will overspend by $100,000s just to prove a point.
