If you don't do, or say, what they want....they will just hire someone that will

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

    ProsPro Sports Team
Travel with players on chartered plane
    Sideline access

ConsLong hours during season (14 hour days/7 days a week)
Comp tickets but can't use them because you are working
No days off during the season
Job Performance is based on a Pass/Fail approach
Unwritten rule to not address the players unless they initiate it

Advice to Senior ManagementQuit trying to act like Dan Snyder. Act like the businessman that made you successful before you sold out to DMS.

Interns are part of the team too. Don't disregard their role in the company.

Ticket Office Intern (Former Employee) Landover, MD

ProsFew perks and bragging rights to say you interned with the Washington Redskins
Customer service staff are usually helpful
    Gain customer service experience

ConsTicket office interns do all of the real work for no pay, while Sales staff sits around and pretends to be busy.
Despite all of the customer service and work that interns handle, they are still not respected by other staff members. Was introduced to new employees as "the people who open the door and answer the phone."

Advice to Senior ManagementThe ticket office relies too heavily on interns. Consider hiring a full-time ticket office assistant that you can depend on, especially when the interns are not available.

Find another team to work for

Account Representative (Current Employee) Landover, MD

Pros- Looks great on a resume to work for the Redskins
    - Staff is friendly and great to work with
    - Managers work with you with any issues you may have

Cons- Terrible pay, commission, and times
    - Little to no career advancement with the organization
    - Benefits are terrible among the industry
    - Organization only cares about the bottom line and not employee satisfaction or even customer satisfaction

Advice to Senior ManagementOffer more incentives to your employees and treat them like real people. Your sales staff, at all levels, brings in your revenues and deserves to be recognized and rewarded properly.

Great Learning Experience, Great for my Resume!

Premium Client Services Intern (Current Employee) Landover, MD

Pros-Always willing to talk and be helpful
    -Family type environment
-Can be Fast-Paced (makes the day whip past)
    -Good learning experience
-Provide lunch A LOT! (cake and ice-cream if a co-worker birthday)
-Laid back environment, but still very professional at the same time
-Ability to meet and work with some very important people in the organization
    -Free Parking

Cons-Can have dead "work" days (I interned during the offseason, in-season probably doesn't experience this as much)
-Some individuals can come off as misleading at times, in an attitude sense

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue doing what you're doing. Senior management in the department was great and friendly, really understood what it meant to be an intern and really wanted to see me succeed for my efforts. Now for management above my department, it wouldn't hurt to start to pay interns, even if minimum wage just for gas and food.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
